Wednesday marked the 82nd home game of the Chicago Cubs' season. During that time, countless celebrities and former players have performed "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh inning stretch.
Among the most notable performers are Jerrod Niemann, members of the 2013 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks, and WWE superstar CM Punk. My favorite, though, came today when Hall of Famer Andre Dawson performed the classic song. I’m slightly biased, as I’ve always loved him (he was my father’s favorite when he played with the Montreal Expos), but Dawson did a great job. The crowd was definitely excited to see the Hall of Famer back and hearing him "root, root, root for the Cubbies."
