A's Agree to Terms with Three Players from First-Year Player Draft
The Oakland A's agreed to terms with three players from the 2015 First-Year Player Draft, including center fielder Skye Bolt (4th round, North Carolina), outfielder James Terrell (11th, St. Patrick-St. Vincent HS) and right-handed pitcher Xavier Altamirano (27th, Oral Roberts).
Bolt hit .259 with 10 home runs and 45 RBI in 56 games. He added 40 walks for a .383 on-base percentage and led the Tar Heels in runs (44) and RBI while tying for the team-lead in home runs. Bolt was a third-team All-ACC selection.
Terrell batted .508 in 20 games as a senior and hit .405 in 85 career games with St. Patrick-St. Vincent HS in Vallejo, Calif.
The A's have now signed or agree to terms with 30 of their 40 selections from the draft, including 12 of the first 13.
