Baltimore adds lefty Scott in sixth round

The Orioles used their fourth selection of the 2014 Draft to select their fourth pitcher.

Baltimore selected Tanner Scott, a left-hander from Howard College in Texas, in the sixth round.

The Draft concludes on Saturday, with exclusive coverage of Rounds 11-40 beginning on MLB.com at 1 p.m. ET.

Scott, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound Warren, Ohio, native, made five starts among 13 appearances for the Hawks and finished with a 7-4 record. Scott totaled 61 innings during the 2014 season, striking out 76 batters and posting a 2.66 ERA. He also recorded one save.

Scott just finished his second season at Howard and had committed to continue his collegiate career at Texas Tech.
