Baseball Playing Robots

The future has arrived! Smart people have reached the pinnacle of what science has to offer. No, I'm not talking about merging Human and Squirrel DNA to create some Super Squirman hybrid; I'm talking about baseball!

Scientists at a University in Japan have successfully combined advanced robotics and baseball to create a robot that can see, read and adapt to pitches being thrown at it and then swing a bat to hit the ball. The robot compiles data from each pitch and analyzes it so that its swing is right on target. Now it's only a matter of time before machines replace men and we're all watching as the Cybertron Robodogs take on the Silicon City Gadgets in the 2043 World Wide Web Series. Personally, I've been waiting for this to happen since 1991 when I played Base Wars on the original Nintendo (look it up!).
