Blue Jays looking to fly high on All-Star ballot

Donaldson still 2nd among AL third baseman; Martin, Reyes also in mix for spots

TORONTO -- Josh Donaldson remains in second spot among American League third basemen in the latest balloting update for the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot in Cincinnati.

Donaldson has received 2,329,742 votes so far, trailing only Mike Moustakas (4,046,726) of the Royals for the starting spot at the hot corner.

Other Blue Jays on the ballot include Russell Martin, who's in a chase for the starting job behind the plate; Jose Bautista, who's vying for a spot in the outfield; and Jose Reyes, who's among the leaders at shortstop.

Martin (855,798) is ranked third behind the Royals' Salvador Perez (4,419,620) and A's Stephen Vogt (2,198,780). Bautista is ninth among outfielders with 1,175,48 votes, and Reyes (464,104) is fifth among shortstops.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 11:59 p.m. ET. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.
