Blue Jays set 2015 promotional/events schedule
The TORONTO BLUE JAYS 2015 EVENTS and PROMOTIONAL schedule focuses on some established fan favourite quality giveaway items and new theme days, events and programs. The 2015 Promotions and Events calendar will have something for everyone from the Honda Home Opener through the entire season.
Honda Home Opener and Honda Opening Series begin April 13 when the Blue Jays take on the Tampa Bay Rays at 7:07 p.m. All fans will receive a 2015 Blue Jays Magnet Schedule and Home Opener Rally Towel presented by Honda. 10,000 magnet schedules will also be distributed to fans upon exit at each of the next three games.
The Blue Jays will continue to improve the outdoor ballpark atmosphere with Summer Friday Fan Festivals presented by Bacardi (July 17 & 31, Aug 14 & 28). In addition, Fan Festivals will also occur as part of a new branded Long Weekend in the City (Sunday Aug 2 & holiday Monday Aug 3). That weekend will involve two pregame festivals and two premium giveaway items (Sunday - Blue Jays Welcome Mat & Monday - Russell Martin Bobblehead).
Jr. Jays Saturday presented by Boston Pizza returns on each Saturday with its family fun focus, where kids can participate in indoor activities and post-game running of the bases all season long. The outdoor Jr. Jays program will once again run from June 6 - August 29 outside gate 10/11 starting at 11:00am and feature half-price tickets for children 14 and under. New this season, will be additional outdoor activities for kids at gate 5/6.
On August 16th as the Blue Jays take on the New York Yankees the team will Turn Back the Dial to 1985 presented by TD, and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1985 Blue Jays Division Championship. Fans are encouraged to get to the ballpark early as the first 20,000 fans will receive a Bell, Moseby & Barfield bobblehead. Pregame gate 10/11 will include an alumni autograph session and an '80s party.
The 2015 giveaway schedule includes an array of new items on Sundays for the first 20,000 fans that enter Rogers Centre. Some Blue Jays items include a Brett Lawrie White Replica Jersey on Mother's Day (May 10), Blue Jays Trucker Hat on Country Day presented by TD (May 24), Blue Jays White Panel Hat (June 28), Blue Jays Winter Mittens on Snow Day in July (July 19) and Fan Appreciation Blue Jays Hoodie (September 27). Along with these new items the schedule includes fan favourite Jose Bautista (April 19), Marcus Stroman (June 7) and Russell Martin bobbleheads (Monday August 3).
The season includes two premium Canadian events presented by Honda. Canada Day Wednesday July 1, the Blue Jays will take the field vs. the Boston Red Sox at 1:07pm. The first 20,000 fans will receive a Blue Jays Forces T-shirt presented by Honda as the team honours our Canadian Forces. Sunday August 30 will be the 4th annual Canada Baseball Day presented by Honda. In celebration of amateur baseball across the country, the first 20,000 fans will receive a Red Replica Blue Jays Canada Jersey presented by Honda.
Connect with the Jays Nights presented by Honda will take place Tuesday May 5 and Friday September 18. These interactive social media nights will offer the Blue Jays a chance to continue to connect with their fans across the country. On each respective night the first 15,000 fans will receive a Blue Jays designed T-shirt that will be revealed to @bluejays followers.
