Braves recall Terdoslavich, designate Young

The Braves have recalled outfielder Joey Terdoslavich from Double-A Mississippi and designated Eric Young Jr. for assignment.

Young has struggled since joining the Braves this season, posting a .169 batting average and .502 OPS in 77 at-bats with the team. Young started 17 games for Atlanta before Cameron Maybin's play earned him the every day centerfield job in early May.

Terdoslavich recently came off of the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left wrist, and has just 36 plate appearances under his belt this year with Atlanta's Low-A, High-A and Double-A teams. In nine games with those Minor League teams, Terdoslavich is hitting .310 with an .837 OPS and as many walks (4) as strikeouts (4). In his one game with Double-A Mississippi on June 3, Terdoslavich went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two strikeouts.
