Anderson leads Rockies against A's on today's slate

Saturday will supply another full schedule of Spring Training action in both the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues, with 19 games on tap.

Left-hander Brett Anderson faces his former club when the Rockies host the A's at 3:10 p.m. ET in a matchup that can be heard live on Gameday Audio. Limited by injuries in recent seasons, Anderson is ready to show everyone that he's feeling better for the first time in more than three years.

"My arm felt good and my foot felt good at the end of [last season]," Anderson said. "I was able to get done what needed to get done in the offseason."

Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal will make his spring debut in a 1:05 p.m. ET contest against the Nationals. Rosenthal has been slowed by a groin strain this spring. Michael Wacha will start the game for the Cards and is expected to toss between 50-55 pitches in his second outing. Taylor Jordan gets the nod for the Nats.

"Everything feels normal," Rosenthal said. "I feel strong. I'm excited. My schedule is normal now."

In a split-squad matchup between the Red Sox and Orioles at 1:05 p.m. ET live on MLB.TV, Henry Owens takes the hill for Boston and Bud Norris gets the nod for Baltimore.

Twins right-hander Phil Hughes will make his second Grapefruit League start as the team heads north to Dunedin, Fla., to play the Blue Jays at 1:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Drew Hutchison toes the rubber for Toronto. He's pitched well enough this spring to secure one of the final two spots in the team's rotation.

The Astros will send a split squad to play the Phillies in Clearwater, Fla., at 1:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Houston will face right-hander Roberto Hernandez, who signed with the Phillies in the offseason to bolster their rotation. He'll go up against Astros left-hander Dallas Keuchel.

D-backs top prospect Archie Bradley takes the ball against the Angels in a contest that can be seen live on MLB.TV at 3:05 p.m. ET. Paul Goldschmidt is expected to be back in Arizona's lineup after being out the past two days with leg stiffness. He'll face Garrett Richards, who threw three innings of two-hit ball in his spring debut for the Halos.

Giants right-hander Ryan Vogelsong makes his first start of the spring and third outing overall against the Mariners and right-hander Erasmo Ramirez at 3:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Brandon Belt will likely return to the Giants' starting lineup, looking to continue a hot Spring Training that has seen him hit .500 with two doubles in five games.

Mariners starter Blake Beavan gets the nod in a split-squad contest against the Dodgers at 9:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Josh Beckett, who was sharp in his first spring game after undergoing surgery last summer, takes the hill for Los Angeles.
