Brewers sign catcher Lalli to Minor League deal

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers have signed 29-year-old catcher Blake Lalli to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Major League Spring Training camp.

Lalli has spent most of his seven professional seasons in the Cubs' organization, including a six-game stint in the Majors last May, in which he went 2-for-15 with two RBIs. He finished last season with Oakland's Triple-A team.

Lalli is the fifth non-roster player invited to Brewers' big league camp. The others are right-handers Jairo Asencio and Darren Byrd, catcher Dayton Buller and infielder Hector Gomez.
