Harper tops NL All-Star vote, Yuni needs help

Bryce Harper's scorching May put him in the driver's seat of many offensive categories in the National League, including home runs, RBIs and runs scored. Tuesday, it was announced that he also maintained his status as the National League's top vote-getter as results pour in from casting the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot.

Harper had 2,323,186 votes in the lastest ballot update, and he has a chance to end up being the top vote-getter in all of baseball as he's within striking distance of the overall top vote-getter, Royals catcher Salvador Perez (2,681,063 votes). The next closest NL outfielder is the Cardinals' Matt Holliday, who has 1,654,428 votes.

Yunel Escobar, who was slated to play second base for Washington in 2015 but has played all of his games at third in the absence of Anthony Rendon, is fifth in voting for second basemen with 502,505 votes. Through 47 games, he was hitting .319 with two homers and 14 RBIs.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 11:59 p.m. ET. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.
