Cardinals Open Registration Process for Postseason Tickets
By registering once, fans have the chance to purchase tickets for all rounds of the 2012 postseason
Starting today, fans of the St. Louis Cardinals may begin registering for the chance to purchase 2012 postseason tickets at cardinals.com/postseason.
Similar to past efforts, the Cardinals are making postseason tickets available to as many fans as possible through an efficient online-only registration process that gives everyone an equal chance to purchase. New in 2012, fans will only need to register once to remain eligible for the chance to purchase tickets for all rounds of the 2012 postseason including a potential Wild Card game, National League Division Series, National League Championship Series and World Series.
The online registration process will work as follows:
- Beginning today, Wednesday, September 5, 2012, Cardinals fans may log onto cardinals.com/postseason and register for a chance to purchase postseason tickets. Upon registration, fans may select to be eligible for one or all rounds of the postseason.
- Wild Card and Division Series: Fans must be registered by Thursday, September 13, 2012, to be eligible to purchase Wild Card game and Division Series tickets. Winners will be notified via e-mail on Monday, September 17, 2012, and ticket sales will begin at 10 a.m. the following day (Tuesday, September 18). There is an eight (8) ticket limit per game for Wild Card and Division Series purchases.
- N. L. Championship Series: Fans must be registered by Thursday, September 27, 2012, to be eligible to purchase N. L. Championship Series tickets. Winners will be notified via e-mail on Monday, October 1, 2012, and ticket sales will begin at 10 a.m. the following day (Tuesday, October 2). There is a four (4) ticket limit for one NLCS game.
- World Series: Fans must be registered by Thursday, October 11, 2012, to be eligible to purchase World Series tickets. Winners will be notified via e-mail on Saturday, October 13, 2012, and ticket sales will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012. There is a two (2) ticket limit for one (1) World Series game.
Complete details and rules for the random drawing and purchases are available at cardinals.com/postseason. The exact number of seats available is unknown until the Cardinals receive commitments from Season Ticket Holders and Major League Baseball.
Announcements regarding potential Tie-Breaker game ticket availability and public purchase will come at a later date.
