Carpenter set to return to Nats booth for 2014

WASHINGTON -- Broadcaster Bob Carpenter had his option picked up for 2014 and will return as the TV play-by-play voice of the Nationals for the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, MLB.com has learned.

Carpenter has been with the Nationals since 2006 and is known for the catchphrase, "See ... you ... later," whenever a Nats player hits a home run. Carpenter could not be reached for comment.

It's not known if F.P. Santangelo, Carpenter's TV partner, will return for his third season in the booth. He is currently a free agent. Santangelo, who is Carpenter's fifth TV partner in Washington, is best known for the catchphrase, "Are you kidding me?" whenever he sees a great play on the field.
