Cespedes garners hit and RBI in rehab game

OAKLAND -- Eighty-six miles away from the Coliseum, Yoenis Cespedes got in some game action as he continues to work his way back to the A's lineup.
Cespedes went 1-for-4 with an RBI single, one run scored and two strikeouts Thursday in a rehab appearance for the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats. He is currently on the 15-day DL with a left hand strain.
If all continues to go well, he will be activated the first day he's eligible, which is Sunday.
"He's a force in our lineup," manager Bob Melvin said before Thursday night's 10-2 loss to the Orioles. "Even when he's not swinging well, he still has an impact."
