Reds don pink in fight against breast cancer
Several players use pink equipment to raise awareness this Mother's Day
CHICAGO -- If it's Mother's Day in Major League Baseball, it's a day for pink equipment and accessories. To help raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer, the Reds had several of their players donning pink throughout Sunday's 4-3 loss vs. the White Sox.
Billy Hamilton, Marlon Byrd, Todd Frazier, Jay Bruce and Zack Cozart were among Reds players utilizing pink bats in the game. Cozart got a game-tying two-run double in the ninth inning with his pink-modeled stick. Bruce enjoyed doing his part by going with pink.

"I think it's great," Bruce said. "The cause is for is something I definitely support. I think everyone supports it. It's nice."
Besides pink bats, several players wore pink spikes, wore pink wrist bands, pink ribbons and pink undershirts. Frazier went next level with his wristbands, however, to honor his mother, Joan.
"I usually wear my face on my wristbands, but I got them today with my mom on there now," Frazier said. "I didn't even tell her. She is so laid back. I will take a picture and show her."
