Baseball legend discusses becoming a Dodger, winning the 1981 World Series, beating cancer and more

Dodger broadcaster Rick Monday, Baker's former teammate, sat down with the baseball legend and Dodgers World Series winner to discuss beating the Yankees in the World Series in 1981, being a cancer survivor, playing with Hank Aaron, experiencing the World Series as both a player and a manager and how he started the high five.
Later on Sunday night at 9:00 p.m., "Timeless Dodgers" will feature Game 6 of the 1981 World Series, where Baker, Monday and the Dodgers clinched the series and World Championship over the Yankees. The 1988 World Series clincher will air on "Timeless Dodgers" on Saturday at 9:00 p.m.

On getting traded to the Dodgers and wearing Tommy Davis' number: "When I got traded here I thought it was the greatest thing on earth. They had number 12 waiting for me and here I was playing my hero's position, batting in the order where he did. I mean, this was a childhood dream."
On the 1981 World Series: "Man, here we are playing the Yankees again. Can't we play somebody else? But it's like, we wanted those Yankees….Sometimes you're supposed to win and that was '81."
On starting the high five: "He put his hand up in the air, and what was I supposed to do? And I just hit it. And they said that, I guess I started the high five."
