• Hunter Dozier, the Royals' first-round pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, on Monday was promoted to Class A Lexington.

Dozier, a shortstop from Stephen F. Austin State, played 47 games with the Rookie League Idaho Falls Chukars -- batting .293 with 55 hits, 35 runs and 35 RBIs. Dozier, the club's No. 7 prospect according to MLB.com, also led the Pioneer League with 22 doubles.

• The first 10,000 fans attending the Royals-Marlins game on Tuesday night will receive T-shirts depicting All-Star catcher Salvador Perez. The design was voted on by the fans and will feature Perez in his catching stance.
