Pollock leaves game early with tight neck

LOS ANGELES -- D-backs outfielder A.J. Pollock was forced to leave Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Dodgers in the sixth inning after he experienced tightness on the left side of his neck.

Pollock said he first felt pain in the area when he swung and missed at a pitch in the third inning.

"It locked up," Pollock said. "It started off where I couldn't really turn left with it. I just figured it was going to kind of loosen up, but then the whole thing just locked up."

Pollock experienced a similar issue on the right side of his neck in Denver earlier this year, and he did not have to miss any time.

"The neck is one of those things where hopefully you go to bed and wake up and it feels better," Pollock said. "But right now it's pretty locked up."
