Goldschmidt has said he doesn't pay much attention to the voting, but he is having a stellar year in his second full season with the club. He leads the team in homers with 15 (tied for fifth in the National League) and RBIs with 59, which are also the most in the National League.
One of the players not amongst the leaderboards is D-backs outfielder Gerardo Parra. Parra leads the team in hits with 86, good for second in the NL, and batting average at .319, where he is seventh in the NL.
"Parra's probably been our most consistent hitter all year," said D-backs manager Kirk Gibson.
