Demand-based pricing to return for all Brewers games in 2013

MILWAUKEE – After a successful limited launch in 2011 and 2012, Demand-Based Pricing for Brewers games will return with an expanded menu of offerings in 2013.

Demand-Based Pricing provides the best ticket value for fans, and after offering it for nine games last year, the Brewers will expand to all 81 games this year. The pricing will be implemented in the Loge Outfield, Loge Bleacher and Terrace Reserved seating categories.

Demand-Based Pricing helps teams more accurately price tickets for individual games and provide fans with more price options.  By utilizing advanced computer pricing software linked to the ticketing system, the Brewers will have the ability to adjust ticket prices in real time based on ticket purchasing demand and changing factors such as team performance, pitching matchups, and weather.  The Brewers are now joining the many MLB clubs that will implement a demand based pricing strategy for all 81 games, with a partnership with provider Qcue supporting the Brewers and 19 other major league baseball clubs.

"Over two-thirds of the teams in Major League Baseball have implemented Demand-Based Pricing with many Clubs using this system for every seat in their stadium," said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger.  "We tested this program in 2011 with three games before expanding to nine last year, and we were pleased with the response from fans who participated. Demand-Based Pricing rewards fans with the best deals when they plan their ticket purchases in advance, and the program also protects Season Seat Holder value. In addition, we are able to accommodate more fans with attractive pricing options for seats that otherwise may go unsold."

Beginning with the first day of individual game sales (set for Saturday, Feb. 23), pricing for seats in the Loge Outfield, Loge Bleacher, and Terrace Reserved locations for all 81 games is subject to change. Fans should be reminded that they will usually receive the lowest price when they purchase their seats early.

Beginning February 23 at 9 a.m., fans will be able to purchase tickets at the Box Office or by visiting brewers.com, selecting the "Tickets" tab and then clicking on the Single Game Tickets link.  For more information regarding Demand-Based pricing fans can visit brewers.com/demandbasedpricing.  For the single game on-sale, 45 dates will have tickets available for LESS THAN the regular rate in at least one of the Demand-Based sections.
