Homers by Dickerson, McElroy pace El Paso

Alex Dickerson hit two homers and Casey McElroy hit a grand slam on his return to Triple-A El Paso on Monday night as the 39-38 Chihuahuas took a 14-1 win at Tacoma.
Dickerson, 25, was 4-for-5 with a double, his sixth and seventh homers of the season, four RBIs and three runs. He raised his batting average to .315.
McElroy, who was with the Chihuahuas earlier in the season, returned to El Paso from Double-A San Antonio on Monday morning. He celebrated his promotion by going 3-for-5 with a double, the grand-slam homer, five RBIs and three runs scored. McElroy raised his Triple-A batting average to .295.
Catcher Jason Hagerty (.389) was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs. Shortstop Mike McCoy (.223) was 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Starting right-handed pitcher Daniel McCutchen (2-5, 4.98 ERA) allowed a run on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Right-hander Jay Jackson (2.16 ERA) allowed a hit and a walk with two strikeouts in a scoreless inning.
McElroy's promotion to Triple-A triggered other moves. Infielder Chase Jensen was promoted from Class A Fort Wayne to Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore. Infielder Mitch Morales was promoted from short-season Class A Tri-City to Fort Wayne.
Meanwhile, four players from Double-A San Antonio will be in Corpus Christi on Tuesday night as members of the South team in the Texas League All-Star Game.
Center fielder Travis Jankowski has been selected a starter for the South. Jankowski, 24, is batting .313 with a .394-on-base percentage. He has scored 49 runs, stolen 23 bases and has drawn 36 walks against 39 strikeouts. Jankowski is fourth in the Texas League in hitting, tied for second in steals and third in runs.
Right-handers Colin Rea (3-2, 1.08 ERA in 12 starts), 24, Justin Hancock (6-4, 2.98 ERA in 15 starts), 24, and Tayron Guerrero (1-4, 3.26 ERA, seven saves in 26 appearances), 24, are also on the South team, although Texas League ERA leader Rea just started Sunday. Hancock ranks fourth in the Texas League in ERA and strikeouts (70).

RHP Colby Blueberg (1.35 ERA) allowed three hits with a strikeout over two innings to record his 10th save. RF Nick Torres had a double, a RBI and a run to move into second in the Midwest League batting race (.332). LF Franchy Cordero (.236) was 1-for-2 with a walk and a RBI.
Class A Tri-City (6-6): EUGENE 5, Dust Devils 4. 1B Nick Vitter (.400) was 4-for-5 with two RBIs and a run. CF Justin Pacchioli (.276) was 2-for-4 with a steal and a RBI. LHP Jose Castillo (4.09 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits with a strikeout in an inning. LHP Elvin Liriano (0.00) allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in 2 1/3 innings. RHP Luis Hernandez (0-2, 2.84 ERA) allowed a run on two hits and two walks with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings to take the loss.
Arizona Rookie Padres (3-5): ANGELS 7, Padres 1. RHP Starling Ynfante (0-2, 10.80 ERA) allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. LHP Nathan Foriest (4.50) allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in a scoreless inning.
Dominican Summer League Padres (12-14): Padres 5, WHITE SOX 4 (12 innings). RHP Emmanuel Clase (0.79 ERA) allowed an unearned run on seven hits with no walks and six strikeouts over five innings. LHP Joel Garcia (3.31 ERA) issued three walks with three strikeouts in three hitless innings. RHP Adonis Diaz (1-1, 0.93) was charged with three unearned runs on four hits and two walks with a strikeout in three innings but got credit for the win. RHP Erick De Los Santos (9.53) struck out two in a perfect inning to get his first save.
