Guerrero exits in third inning with calf strain

Dodgers utility man to have MRI on Saturday

PHOENIX -- Dodgers utility man Alex Guerrero will have an MRI Saturday after leaving Friday night's 12-4 loss to the D-Backs with a strained left calf muscle.

Guerrero, pinch-hitting in the top of the third inning, legged out an infield single for the Dodgers' first hit. But as he hit the bag, he reached down and grabbed behind his leg with his left hand. He was removed for pinch-runner Jimmy Rollins, who did not start because of a sprained finger, suffered running the bases on Sunday.

Guerrero, the NL Rookie of the Month for April, cooled off dramatically after that and is hitting .231 in 91 games.
