Jarrin gets award from Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters

Dodgers broadcaster Jaime Jarrin, honored by the Hall of Fame, received the Art Gilmore Career Achievement Award from the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters on Friday, with fellow Hall of Fame honoree broadcaster Vin Scully presenting the award.

Jarrin will be a part of the Dodgers' Spanish-language broadcast for the 56th season in 2014, the second-longest tenure in Major League broadcasting history behind Scully.

During his broadcasting career, Jarrin has been in the booth for three perfect games, 15 no-hitters, 26 World Series games and 21 All-Star Games. In addition to a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Jarrin has earned the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Association's President's Award and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists Media and Entertainment Excellence Award.
