Bolsinger to start Sunday in finale with Bucs

LOS ANGELES -- Mike Bolsinger will start the Dodgers' series finale against the Pirates on Sunday.

Bolsinger will take the mound on seven day's rest after making his last start Sept. 12 against Arizona. Giving Bolsinger the nod gives starters Brett Anderson and Alex Wood an extra day of rest before they start on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, because of Thursday's off-day.

"It's the last time this year we can give it to them," manager Don Mattingly said.

The Dodgers have 17 games without an off-day to end the season. Bolsinger figures to slide into the No. 5 slot of the rotation after the Dodgers designated Mat Latos for assignment on Thursday.

Bolsinger is 6-3 with a 3.13 ERA in 18 starts this season for the Dodgers, but has lasted more than five innings in just three of his last 11 starts, dating back to June 14.
