Puig runs, remains on target; Jansen pitches
Outfielder could return from hamstring strain in a week
LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig (left hamstring strain) ran in the outfield for a second day Sunday, and remains on target to be activated from the 15-day disabled list next Sunday at Colorado, when he's eligible.
"With Yasiel, it seems like he's doing more and more," manager Don Mattingly said. "All reports have been good. He should be ready to play some [rehab] games later in the week."
Mattingly also offered some updates on other injured Dodgers before Sunday's finale:
• Closer Kenley Jansen (left foot) pitched a scoreless inning Sunday for Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga against Inland Empire in his second rehab outing. Jansen, who started, gave up two hits and struck out one. One of the hits was erased on a caught stealing. Jansen threw 17 pitches.
• Right-hander Brandon League (shoulder) threw off a mound for the first time since his injury. "A baby step for us," Mattingly said.
• Left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) will throw Monday in Milwaukee. "If everything goes well, he'll throw to hitters sometime during the week," Mattingly said.
• Right-hander Joel Peralta (pinched nerve in upper back) hasn't made progress, and "is still in a holding pattern," Mattingly said.
