Durham Bulls Pitchers Combine to Throw No-Hitter

What a month it has been for the Tampa Rays' Triple-A affiliate, the Durham Bulls! In the past two weeks, the team has carried out successful Bull Durham promotions, executed an exciting triple play and on Sunday four Bulls pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter. In a 2-1 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox, Jake Odorizzi, Frank de Los Santos, Kirby Yates and Jeff Beliveau pitched nine no-hit innings to complete the second no-no in franchise history. The game got interesting in the ninth, when Pawtucket was able to get the first two runners on by the way of the walk, but Beliveau was able to induce a sac fly and a sac out before striking out Jeremy Hazelbaker to preserve the no-hitter and the win! Former Eckerd College standout Craig Albernaz caught the entire game for the Bulls.

Congrats, Bulls!
