Durham Bulls to Retire Chipper Jones' Number

Bill Evers, Joe Morgan and fictional character Crash Davis are the only players to have their numbers retired by the Durham Bulls. They will soon be joined by Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones, who will have his number retired by the Bulls on August 20. Jones played with Durham in 1992, batting .277 with 43 runs, 22 doubles and 31 RBIs for the then-Braves affiliate.
