Famous MLB Brother Combos
Brotherly love on the diamond.
In honor of National Siblings Day, I put together a list of my favorite MLB brother combinations. From the cradle to the diamond, these bros stuck together.
11. Justin & B.J. Upton - For the past two seasons, the Upton brothers have been able to call each-other teammates in Atlanta.
10. Bengie, Jose and Yadier Molina - The Molinas have been fixtures behind the plate in the Majors since 1998.
9. Brian and Marcus Giles - The Giles brothers combined for 363 career home runs and three All-Star appearances. In 2007, they played together for San Diego.
8. Livan and Orlando Hernandez - These two right-handed pitchers put together nearly 300 combined wins during their careers.
7. Jason and Jeremy Giambi - The real Bash Bros were teammates in Oakland, and have combined for 490 dingers and counting.
6. Cal Jr. and Billy Ripken - The Ripkens made their MLB debuts with the Orioles, and played together in Baltimore from 1987-1992.
5. Sandy Jr. and Roberto Alomar - One of the most productive pairs ever, the Alomars combined for more than 1,700 RBIs.
4. Pedro and Ramon Martinez - The Martinez brothers totaled over 4,500 strikeouts over their careers.
3. Gaylord and Jim Perry - The two Perry brothers combined for 529 wins during their careers, which spanned from 1959-1983.
2. Phil and Joe Niekro - Just edging out the Perry family, the Niekros won 539 games.
1. Joe, Dom and Vince DiMaggio - A no-brainer at the top of the list. The DiMaggios played in 22 combined All-Star games, won three MVP Awards and drove in 2,739 runs.
That's our top 10. Who did we miss?
