Springer continues rehab games, goes 1-for-4

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Astros outfielder George Springer had his third straight 1-for-4 rehab performance with the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks in the club's 11-9 loss to the San Antonio Missions on Monday night.

Springer opened the game by drawing three straight low fastballs from San Antonio starter Dennis O'Grady, then took a called strike at the waist before grounding out hard to second base.

In the bottom of third inning, Springer fell behind 0-2 before popping a 1-2 curveball out to center.

Springer's line-drive single in the fourth nearly tied the game at 4, but Missions center fielder Alberth Martinez threw out Robert Pena at home.

Springer then scored the go-ahead run on a two-run double from No. 20 prospect Danry Vasquez as the Hooks plated six runs in the fourth for an 8-4 lead.

In his last plate appearance of the night, Springer struck out swinging on a 1-2 changeup from relief pitcher Adam Cimber in the bottom of the fifth.
