Giants and ESPN Deportes announce 2014 Spanish broadcast schedule

860 AM ESPN Deportes to carry all home games as well as away games against the Dodgers, Padres and Athletics

SAN FRANCISCO - The Giants and 860 AM ESPN Deportes enter their third season as media partners; broadcasting Giants games over the airwaves to Spanish speaking fans throughout the Bay Area. During the 2014 season, ESPN Deportes will carry all of the Giants 81 regular season home games and 21 away games from Los Angeles, San Diego and Oakland.

The broadcast team of Erwin Higueros and Tito Fuentes will call the games from the Giants Spanish language broadcast booth. Higueros enters his 17th season in the Giants booth and his 27th year as a Major League broadcaster. Fuentes, a 13-year Major League veteran, will return for his 11th-consecutive season as a Giants Spanish language broadcaster.

Frank Carter, COO of Deportes Media, LLC said, "We are proud of our relationship with the Giants and look forward to another great season."

On a local level, 860 AM ESPN Deportes' General Manager, Michael Sher, is thrilled that the Giants Spanish broadcast footprint will increase for the 2014 season.   Sher said, "The inclusion of the Dodgers, Padres and Athletics away games are a great addition to the current home game schedule."

"The Giants are proud of our growing relationship with ESPN Deportes as represented by the addition of away games against popular rivals. We value our ability to connect over the airwaves with our Spanish speaking fans and will now be able to do so not only from AT&T Park, but from select road cities, too," said Jason Pearl, Giants Managing Vice President, Sponsorship and New Business Development.
