Giants Announce 2012 Promotions Schedule

The San Francisco Giants today announced the club's 2012 regular season promotions schedule, which will feature both new and traditional giveaways and promotions. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase individual game tickets for all regular season home games, excluding Opening Day, for a limited time beginning at 10:00 a.m. PT on Orange and Black Friday - November 25 through December 24.

The Giants will open the 2012 home schedule with AT&T/Giants Opening Week, Apr. 13-18, when the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies visit AT&T Park. Giants Welcome Mat will be a new giveaway item for the first 20,000 fans on Sun., Apr. 15. AT&T/Giants Opening Week will also feature traditional giveaways beginning with the home opener on Friday, Apr. 13 when the first 40,000 fans will receive Opening Day Calendars, followed by a post-game Fireworks Show on Opening Night, Saturday, Apr. 14 and end with Magnet Schedules on Monday, Apr. 16.

In 1999, the Giants became the first Major League Baseball team to bring back bobble heads as a promotional giveaway. This season's bobble head line up includes Sergio Romo (May 5), 2002 World Series Team Members (select players TBA) (July 1), Madison Bumgarner (July 15) and Pablo Sandoval (August 26).

2012 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Giants 2002 World Series appearance, and on Sunday, July 1, members of that team will gather at AT&T Park for a special on-field ceremony and other commemorative events.

Other highlights of 2012's promotional schedule include Giants Messenger Bag (April 28); Orange Friday Texting Gloves (May 4); Brian Wilson Gnome (May 20); and Gigantes Player T-Shirt (Sept. 8).

Younger fans, 14 & under, will enjoy five kids-only giveaways: Tim Lincecum Wall Sticker (April 29); Giants Rope Necklace (May 6); Giants Super Hero Cape (June 9); Giants Snap Watch (July 29); and Giants Gym Bag (August 12).

Giants single game tickets will go on public sale on Orange & Black Friday, Friday, Nov. 25 beginning at 10:00 a.m. PT. A limited number of game tickets for all regular season home games, excluding Opening Day, will be on sale until Dec. 24. Ticket prices start as low as $8 for select games and will be available for purchase on sfgiants.com or in person at all Giants Dugout Store locations (check sfgiants.com for a list of stores in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Santa Clara and Walnut Creek). With the Giants dynamic pricing structure, fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to secure the best prices. After December 24th, individual game ticket sales will resume on Saturday, Feb. 4 during the KNBR/Giants Fan Fest at AT&T Park.

Weekday night games begin at 7:15 p.m. PT and weekday afternoon games start at 12:45 p.m. PT, with the exception of Opening Day, Friday, Apr. 13 at 1:35 p.m. PT and Memorial Day, Monday, May 28 at 2:05 p.m. PT. Saturday games have scheduled starts of 1:05 p.m., 4:15 p.m. (only one on Saturday, June 2), and 6:05 p.m. PT with Sunday games scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m. PT.
