Giants prospect Brown leads way in win for Fresno

Outfielder Gary Brown, the Giants' No. 20 prospect, collected four hits and scored four runs Thursday to lead Triple-A Fresno to an 11-4 victory at Tacoma.

Brown went 4-for-6 with a double, a home run and two stolen bases. He also drove in one run.

Brown led off the game with a home run, his first since July 17. He singled in the third and doubled in the sixth. He had two opportunities to complete the cycle, which would have been the first of his career, but Brown added another single in the eighth and struck out in the ninth.

Brown, who was the Giants' first-round pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, is hitting .270/.327/.392 with nine home runs and 30 stolen bases. He ranks second in the Pacific Coast League in stolen bases, one behind New Orleans outfielder Austin Wates.
