SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- The San Francisco Giants and Telemundo KSTS 48 today announced that Telemundo 48 will be official Spanish television partner of the 2012 World Series Champions San Francisco Giants.

As part of the new partnership, Telemundo 48 will produce a half hour local sports show dedicated to covering the Giants franchise.  The show will bring viewers up close to the San Francisco Giants highlighting the team, players and the performance of the World Champions throughout the season.  The show will be hosted by long time Giants Spanish announcer Erwin Higueros and Telemundo’s sports anchor Juan Francisco Ramirez.

In addition, both organizations will work together to produce “Fiesta Gigantes,” a celebration to honor the Hispanic heritage of the franchise and the city of San Francisco. This partnership represents Telemundo 48’s ongoing support of Bay Area sports teams and its commitment to the Hispanic community to provide them with relevant sports content.
