There were an uneven number of players available during pre-game warmups for the Washington Nationals on Monday, so Gio Gonzalez had to improvise.

Lucky for Gio, there was a young Nats fan ready and waiting for such a situation.

Wearing his Strasburg shirsey and probably content just to score an autograph, the kid got a whole lot more.

Back in my day, I would always bring my glove to the game in hopes of catching a foul ball. Now kids have something new to look forward to - the potential to play a spontaneous game of catch with one of their favorite players!
