Goebbert, Medica pace Triple-A El Paso

Gettys on six-game hitting streak at Fort Wayne

Jake Goebbert and Tommy Medica combined for five hits and five RBIs for Triple-A El Paso on Sunday, and center fielder Michael Gettys -- the Padres' second-round pick in the 2014 Draft -- had three hits to extend his hitting streak to six games for Class A Fort Wayne.

Gettys was 3-for-4 Sunday with a steal and three runs. He is 9-for-20 during his six-game hitting streak with seven runs. Designated hitter Goebbert (.282) was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and a sacrifice fly for three RBIs and a run Sunday. Medica (.244) was 2-for-5 with his third homer, two RBIs and two runs in 42-41 El Paso's 13-7 win at Salt Lake.

Infielder Casey McElroy (.292) hit his second homer with two RBIs and two runs. Center fielder Abraham Almonte (.298) was 2-for-5 with a double and a walk with two RBIs and a run. Catcher Rocky Gale (.314) was 2-for-4 with two runs. Left fielder Alex Dickerson (.308) was 1-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs.

Right-handed starter Daniel McCutchen (3-5, 4.93 ERA) allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits with three strikeouts in six innings to get the win. Left-handed reliever Eury De La Rosa allowed three runs on eight hits with four strikeouts in three innings.

Double-A San Antonio (35-45): TULSA 5, Missions 2. RHP Justin Hancock (6-5, 3.27 ERA) allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings. 2B Taylor Lindsey (.212) hit a homer in four at-bats.

Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore (34-46): Lancaster 9, STORM 3. LF Nick Schulz (.240) was 3-for-3 with his fourth homer, a walk and two RBIs. C Ryan Miller (.305) was 2-for-4 with a double and a run. RHP Zech Lemond (4-6, 5.42 ERA) allowed eight runs (six earned) on nine hits and three walks with four strikeouts in four innings.

Class A Fort Wayne (39-40): TIN CAPS 5, Dayton 2. 1B Trae Santos (.254) was 2-for-3 with a walk, a RBI and a run in support of Gettys. RF Franmil Reyes (.242) was 2-for-4 with a double and a RBI. RHP Dinelson Lamet (3-4, 3.95 ERA) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five innings. LHP Kyle McGrath (2.76) allowed a hit with two strikeouts in three scoreless innings. RHP Jimmy Brasoban (2.22) walked one in a hitless inning to get his second save.

Class A Tri-City (8-10): SALEM-KEIZER 7, Dust Devils 2. RHP Angel Mejia (1-2, 7.63 ERA) allowed seven runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. LHP Jerry Keel (1.17) had a strikeout in 2 2/3 perfect innings.

Arizona Rookie Padres (5-8): Padres 4, INDIANS 3. RHP Starling Ynfante (7.71 ERA) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with six hits in five innings. RHP Jordan Guerrero (1-0, 6.75) allowed a walk with two strikeouts in two hitless innings. RHP Blake Rogers (3.60 ERA) allowed a run on a hit with two strikeouts in two innings. LF Jhonatan Pena (.250) had his second homer in four at-bats.
