Grab great ballpark seats for final postseason push

We've got Tom Glavine and Jose Oquendo Bobblehead giveaways, a Giants-Dodgers rivalry showdown series in both ballparks, Dollar Hot Dog Nights, pennant fever in Pittsburgh, kids running bases, free sombreros from baseball's winningest team, Star Wars Fireworks in Oakland, Clayton Kershaw No-Hitter Commemorative Pins, Miguel Cabrera posters, Fan Appreciation Weekends and the farewell of a Yankee captain.

It's about time for the final fortnight of Major League Baseball's 2014 regular season, one that began in Sydney, Australia. There are good seats remaining for much of the action involving the postseason contenders as we wait for the impending 10 champagne celebrations, so hit up MLB.com/tickets or your club site. Here's a closer look at what's remaining and why to go see the clubs still in the hunt:

American League

Orioles: Their magic number to clinch the American League East was 3 entering Monday, so there could be some champagne flying at Camden Yards before they hit the road. The next chance to see them probably would be a playoff series, and it will be harder to get a ticket then.

• vs. TOR, Monday-Wednesday: Orioles alumni sign autographs on Monday; Tuesday all upper-deck seats are reduced to $9; Wednesday is T-shirt giveaway. vs. BOS, Sept. 19-21: Friday is $7 student offer night & Fireworks; Saturday is ski hat giveaway; Sunday is bobblehead giveaway.

Royals: There are two ways to look at this final 10-game homestand. One, it will be intense, especially when AL Central rival Detroit comes in for an all-important showdown series. Two, the postseason is not a given, at least not yet, so you should appreciate every remaining chance to see this Royals team in person.

• vs. CWS, Monday-Wednesday: special $8 Value tickets for Monday game and $5/$10 dynamic deal for Tuesday. vs. DET, Sept. 19-21: Fan Appreciation weekend with giveaways all weekend; Friday is Buck Night ($1 select concessions), Saturday is Scarf Night; Sunday is Team Poster day and players available for autographs.

Angels: They entered this week in position to clinch a playoff berth on Monday and a division title on Wednesday, and the club record of 100 wins (2008) is easily beatable. Glory days are here again at Angel Stadium, where you can see the best player in baseball (Mike Trout) and grab memorabilia at every opportunity, because these guys would have home-field advantage through the postseason if they keep up this pace.

• vs. SEA, through Thursday: Military/first responder discounted tickets available Monday and Thursday. International Week begins Tuesday and lasts past the end of this series. Tuesday is Angels Sombrero giveaway; Wednesday is "1/2 way to St. Paddy's Day" hat giveaway; and Thursday is Angels Rally Drum giveaway. vs. TEX, Sept. 19-21: Military/first responder discounts available. Sept. 19 is last night of International Week, plus Oktoberfest event and Oktoberfest Stein giveaway. Sept. 20 is fireworks. Sept. 21 is Fan Appreciation Day and 2014 Team Photo giveaway, plus military/first responder ticket discounts.

A's: It has been night and day from the first half of this season to the second half, and at this point Oakland is hanging on for dear life to get into the postseason. Can they regain the form that had them 11 games ahead of the third place team in the Wild Card on Aug. 10? This is a chance to see their final regular season homestand, and if they don't stop the skid it could be your last look.

• vs. TEX, Tuesday-Thursday: Dynamic Deals and Throwback Thursdays. vs. PHI, Friday-Sunday Dynamic Deals. Sept. 19 is Star Wars Fireworks, Sept. 20 is OktoberFest and Sept. 21 features GovX offers. vs. LAA, Sept. 22-24: Dynamic Deals. Sept. 23 will be free parking.

Tigers: You're probably going to see an ace on the mound no matter what day it is, so do you really need a reason to watch Detroit in these final days at Comerica Park? Every game matters as the Tigers finish at home with three NL Central opponents.

• vs. CWS, Sept. 22-24: Weekday Value Packs for each day. vs. MIN, Sept. 25-28: The final scheduled weekend of the regular season is Fan Appreciation Weekend, and who knows, there could be a tiebreaker after it's all over. Sept. 25 is Weekday Value Pack; Sept. 26 features magnet schedule giveaways and fireworks; Saturday is mousepad giveaway and fireworks; and that final Sunday you can get a Miguel Cabrera Poster and Shirt Off Our Back giveaway.

Mariners: Robinson Cano, Felix Hernandez and friends are in the battle down to the end, and there are still at least three opportunities to see them, whether it's as a prelude for a long-awaited postseason return or a final sendoff.

• vs. LAA, Sept. 26-28: It will be Fan Appreciation Weekend, and no matter what happens in these final days of the regular season, there should be a lot to appreciate about 2014.

Indians: "We need to win every game," manager Terry Francona said, and they also need fans at every home game. The Tribe entered Monday five games out in the AL Wild Card picture and 6 1/2 out in the AL Central.

• vs. KC, Sept. 22-24: Who knows where they will be when this series rolls around. If the Indians catch fire, it would be a show. vs. TB, Sept. 26-28: This series is Fan Appreciation Weekend, and that last Saturday is Fireworks Night and $1 Dog Night.

Yankees: These are Derek Jeter's last regular season games, so it won't be easy to find a ticket. But there are some extra enticements as well.

• vs. TOR, Thursday through Sunday: Series opener is Ski Hat Giveaway, and Sunday is a limited-edition Beanie Buddy Day. vs. BAL, Sept: 22-25: Thursday's regular season finale -- Jeter's last -- is sold out. But ticket pursuit will go on.

National League

Nationals: Tickets for potential postseason games at Nationals Park went on sale Monday. In the meantime, seats still remain to see what could be a big party down the stretch. Entering the week, Washington was in position to possibly clinch the NL East on Tuesday. So they could return from this trip already sure of October action

• vs. NYM, Sept. 23-25: Specials will include $1 hot dogs on Sept. 23, $5 beer on Sept. 24 and Beltway Burger Pack and Miller Lite Party Night for Sept. 25. vs. MIA, Sept. 26-28: This final regular-season series will open on Sept. 26 with $1 ice cream, a Beltway Burger Pack and Miller Lite Party Night. Sept. 27 is Miller Lite Party Night and Family Fun Pack. The Sunday finale features Family Fun Pack as well as the last of the season-long Signature Sundays, so kids run the bases postgame and fans get autographs pregame.

Cardinals: The last homestand of the regular season is underway at Busch Stadium, and the atmosphere is amped-up as the Redbirds lead the NL Central but with nothing taken for granted. Can they return to a stage that has become commonplace in recent years?

• vs. MIL, Tuesday-Thursday:. This series has been circled in red for a while, as the Brewers led the division much of this season and remain a contender. If you're a Cardinals fan, you want to be there for the opener on Tuesday. vs. CIN, Friday through Sunday: Here's your last scheduled chance to see them this regular season. There are fireworks on Friday, a Jose Oquendo Bobblehead giveaway on Saturday, and Sunday features a free ticket voucher giveaway and 2015 schedule giveaway.

Dodgers: Can they hold off their rivals up the coast? Can Clayton Kershaw finish off a magical season with at least 20 wins? They were three games up on the Giants entering Monday, with road and home series remaining between those two clubs. What's not to watch?

• vs. SF, Sept. 22-24: Nuff said? Well, there's also a Kershaw No-Hitter Commemorative Pin giveaway on Sept. 22 -- a great way to remember his June 18 gem -- and a Sleeved Blanket giveaway on Sept. 23. vs. COL, Sept. 26-28: That final homestand of the regular season will feature fireworks on Sept. 26; La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers on Sept. 27; and Fan Appreciation prizes to be announced on the last day.

Giants: Here they come in Even Year Mode, but can they rebound from their series loss to the Dodgers over the weekend to win the NL West? Or could they be a Wild Card? Either way, they are poised for some meaningful home games down the stretch.

• vs. SD, Sept. 25-28: After this final road trip, the Giants return for the last weekend of the regular season. There are special events offers across all games, plus a Dynamic Deal for Sept. 25 featuring $9 tickets.

Brewers: After leading the NL Central for much of the season, Milwaukee is scratching and clawing to make it into the field of 10 for October. Can the Crew regain its mojo in time? This all-important road trip will help decide whether those final three games at Miller Park to close the regular season have meaning for October or bittersweet goodbyes.

• vs. CHC, Sept. 26-28: You can get a Miller Lite Beerpen free hat on Sept. 26, which is also Student Night. The Brewers Team Photo Giveaway is on Sept. 27, and they're handing out ice cream for the finale.

Braves: Next year will be the 20th anniversary of Atlanta's World Series champions, but they aren't giving up giving up on another this year. An NL Wild Card berth is the most realistic hope right now, and seats are available to watch the chase in person at Turner Field.

• vs. WAS, Monday-Wednesday: There's a postgame concert on Tuesday, and the place could be packed on Wednesday just for the Glavine Bobblehead giveaway. Tickets start at $8 for that Wednesday game as well. vs. NYM, Friday through Sunday: Fireworks and $12 ticket are on tap for Friday. The Saturday game is a Freddy Freeman Sleeve giveaway, and Sunday is kids' chances to run the bases and get alumni autographs. vs. PIT, Sept. 22-25: Fan Appreciation week….details still to come. Tickets start at $6 for all games.

Pirates: From Francisco Liriano to Andrew McCutchen, these guys are hot and maybe at just the right time. The last homestand is underway, so there's not much of an excuse to be anywhere other than PNC Park if you're a Pirates fan this next week. They were in Wild Card position entering Friday but they are no doubt thinking NL Central title.

• vs. BOS, Tuesday-Thursday: All You Can Eat seats are available for each game, and it's a rare chance to see Big Papi while you watch the pennant race. vs. MIL, Friday through Sunday: Fan Appreciation Weekend will feature a Block Party before each game outside the stadium, fireworks on Saturday and a cap giveaway on Sunday.
