Greinke roughed up, Kemp debuts in loss to Padres

Righty allows two runs on five hits over three frames; slugger goes 0-for-2

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Padres slipped by the Dodgers, 7-5, in Cactus League action on Friday.

Right-handed pitcher Zach Lee balked home the go-ahead run with one out in the top of the ninth inning. The Padres' Jaff Decker then doubled home an insurance run.

Hanley Ramirez had two hits, an RBI and stole home for the Dodgers, while Matt Kemp went 0-for-2 in his Cactus League debut.

Chase Headley, Nick Hundley and Jonathan Galvez each had a pair of hits for San Diego.

Ramirez, who had already stolen second base, was on the front end of a double-steal with Nick Punto in the third inning to give the Dodgers a 3-2 lead off Padres starter Freddy Garcia, who allowed three runs on four hits and two walks in 2 2/3 innings.

The Dodgers scored two runs in the second inning on RBI hits by the Ellises, a single by Mark and a double by A.J.

San Diego knocked around Dodgers starter Zack Greinke for two runs on five hits, four of them for extra bases, in three innings. But Greinke was bailed out of further damage by a pair of double plays, one he started on a bases-loaded comebacker by Yonder Alonso to end the third inning.

The Dodgers extended their lead to 4-2 in the fourth inning on Ramirez's two-out RBI single. Casey Kelly relieved Garcia and allowed one run in 2 1/3 innings.

Kemp, in his first game since October shoulder surgery, grounded to third and struck out as designated hitter.

Decker lifted a sacrifice fly to left field to score a go-ahead run in the seventh inning. But C.J. Retherford followed with a solo homer in the bottom of the inning to forge a tie.

Dodgers up next: After his Spring debut Friday, it will be a very good sign if Kemp plays again on Saturday when the Dodgers travel to Peoria and face the Seattle Mariners at 12:05 p.m. PT, broadcast live on Gameday Audio. Plenty of Dodgers big league pitchers will be in action, as Chris Capuano starts, followed by Chad Billingsley. Also on the traveling list are relievers Brandon League, Kenley Jansen, Ronald Belisario and J.P. Howell.
