Hall of Fame catcher Fisk charged with DUI

Carlton Fisk faces charges of driving under the influence after being found late Monday asleep in his truck in a cornfield outside Chicago, according to The Associated Press.

New Lenox, Ill., police told AP the 64-year-old Hall of Fame catcher was found behind the wheel with an open bottle of vodka on the floor of the truck.

"He was behind the wheel, unconscious," New Lenox deputy chief Robert Pawlisz said Tuesday.

According to the report, Pawlisz said Fisk was taken to a hospital for treatment and released from police custody after posting ball. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 29 in Will County, Ill.
