Cubs, Samardzija reach one-year deal; Padres' Cashner wins arbitration case
A handful of players and clubs came to terms on one-year contracts Saturday, with the Dodgers adding an arm on the day their pitchers and catchers reported to Camelback Ranch in Arizona.
Los Angeles agreed to a one-year, $1.5 million contract, plus incentives, with left-hander Paul Maholm.
The official announcement came eight hours after Maholm appeared in the Dodgers clubhouse at Spring Training.
