- Eckerd Tritons (@ECTritons) April 26, 2014An incredible act of sportsmanship was the play of the day in a softball doubleheader between Florida Southern and Eckerd College. Eckerd sophomore Kara Oberer drilled a pinch-hit three-run home run on the final pitch of Florida Southern senior Chelsea Oglevie's collegiate career. But Oberer, who injured her knee in the first game of the doubleheader, was unable to continue rounding the bases after limping to first base.
What did Oglevie do? She put her arm around Oberer and, with the help of a few teammates, carried her to complete the home run trot. Amazing.
