Poway High grad Alex Dickerson tied a Triple-A El Paso record with five hits, and center fielder Travis Jankowski hit a two-run double in his debut with the Chihuahuas on Tuesday during a day of considerable movement at the upper levels of the Padres.

It started at the highest level as the Padres recalled center fielder Abraham Almonte from El Paso, and then optioned third baseman Will Middlebrooks to their Triple-A affiliate.

Jankowski was promoted one day after he returned to San Antonio from the Pan American Games. He was hitting .313 with 23 steals and 49 runs scored in 72 games with the Missions.

The Missions also activated outfielder Tyson Gillies (Canada) from the Pan-Am Games list; placed shortstop Jose Rondon (right elbow injury) and right-handed starting pitcher Casey Kelly (finger) on the seven-day Texas League disabled list; and received shortstop Benji Gonzalez from El Paso.

Dickerson was 5-for-5 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored to raise his season batting average to .308 in El Paso's 15-2 win at Sacramento. The Chihuahua's record stands at 49-48.
