Bourgeois embraces 'Mr. Unknown' moniker
Reds outfielder hears it from fans after Citi Field scoreboard error
CINCINNATI -- When Reds outfielder Jason Bourgeois made his 2015 debut in a sixth-inning double switch Sunday vs. the Mets, his unique last name apparently lacked recognition at Citi Field.
The scoreboard listed Bourgeois in the Cincinnati lineup as "No. 30, Unknown, RF." It was quickly corrected, but not quick enough.
"Of course, the fans in New York will let you know about it," Bourgeois said Monday when back at Great American Ball Park. "I'll make a name for myself. I love that stuff. It keeps me motivated."

Bourgeois, who replaced Jay Bruce in right field on the double switch, rejoined the Reds on Sunday after he missed the whole season with a fractured left scapula suffered during Spring Training.
On Monday, Bourgeois had a piece of tape with the word "Unknown" fixed to his locker in the Reds' clubhouse.
"I put it up there so everyone could see it -- 'Mr. Unknown,'" Bourgeois said. "The word of the day is 'unknown.'"
