Joc selected for Heart and Hustle Award

Rookie outfielder named Dodgers' 2015 winner by Alumni

ATLANTA -- All-Star rookie center fielder Joc Pederson was named the Dodgers' recipient of the 2015 Heart and Hustle Award by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association on Tuesday.

It's the only award in Major League Baseball voted on by former players and is given to one player on each club who displays "passion, desire, and work ethic demonstrated both on and off the field," according to the Alumni.

As the season nears conclusion, fans, Alumni and active players will vote on the final winner from the group of 30 team winners. The winner will be announced Nov. 10 at the 16th Annual Legends for Youth Dinner in New York City.
