Josh Pettitte Throws No-Hitter

When you think of the last name “Pettitte,” you think of pitching dominance. This thought process continued on Friday when Josh Pettitte, son of present New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte, threw a playoff no-hitter for Deer Park high school. The no-hitter is his second on the year, as the younger Pettitte also threw a no-hitter in February. Interestingly enough, while he attended the same high school and has spent numerous years in the majors, the elder Pettitte has never thrown a no-hitter in his career. The only other difference between them? Despite similar mechanics, Andy is left-handed while Josh is a right-hander.

While he has found incredible success as a senior in high school, do you think Josh will live up to the Pettitte name and find success in the Majors in the future? Comment below.
