Royals Minor League Report: July 27

Omaha Storm Chasers (58-45)

Colorado Springs 2, Omaha 1
LP: Casey Coleman (2-3)

Omaha snapped their win streak at seven games, which was tied for the longest of the season. Orlando Calixte recorded a couple hits and Casey Kotchman picked up the sole RBI. Yohan Pino went 6.2 innings and left the game with an injury in the seventh. He has not allowed a run in his last 12.2 innings.

NW Arkansas Naturals (51-49)

Arkansas 4, Northwest Arkansas 3
LP: Christian Binford (4-5)
HR: Alex Liddi (11)

The Naturals dropped the first game of a three-game series by one run. Jorge Bonifacio ended 1-for-3 after recording his 23rd double of the year. Kenny Diekroeger collected a couple hits including his ninth double. Christian Binford went 7.0 innings and allowed four runs.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (52-49)

Lynchburg 8, Wilmington 5
LP: Jake Junis (4-7)
HR: Carlos Garcia (1)

The Blue Rocks dropped the rubber-game, falling short three runs. Carlos Garcia recorded his first homer since joining Wilmington and ended 3-for-5. Jack Lopez and Mauricio Ramos each collected a couple hits. The Blue Rocks have now committed an error in five-straight games, tying a season long mark.

Lexington Legends (44-54)

Hickory 4, Lexington 2
LP: Pedro Fernandez (6-2)
HR: None

Despite scoring two early, the Legends offense couldn't string together any further runs. Samir Duenez and Alexis Rivera each recorded a couple hits, while Duenez also posted a two-out RBI.

Idaho Falls Chukars (12-25)

Orem 5, Idaho Falls 0
LP: Carter Hope (0-2)
HR: None

The Chukars were one-hit for a season-low and shutout for the second time this year. Roman Collins recorded the sole hit for Idaho Falls. Carter Hope tossed 5.0 innings, allowing three runs over five hits.

Burlington Royals (15-16)

Danville 6, Burlington 5
LP: Mark McCoy (1-1)
HR: None

Burlington allowed five runs in the second inning, falling short to Danville. Riley King reached base all four times he came to the plate, ending 2-for-2. Igol Feliz went 5.1 innings, allowing seven hits and three earned runs.

Surprise Royals (22-7)

Suprise 4, AZL Rangers 0
WP: Gerson Garabito (2-0)
SV: Kyle Kubat (1)
HR: None

Surprise took an early two-run lead in the first, eventually winnign 4-0. Rudy Martin went 2-for-5 with a pair of triples. Machel Arroyo and Emmanuel Rivera each collected a couple hits. Gerson Garabito threw 6.0 scoreless innings, allowing only three hits.
