KeyBank is named official bank of the Seattle Mariners

When Seattle Mariners Manager Lloyd McClendon and teammates Robinson Cano, Felix Hernandez, Kyle Seager and all members of the Mariners collect their salaries from the team every two weeks, the paychecks come from a payroll account at KeyBank. That's according to an announcement today that KeyBank has been named the official banking partner of the Seattle Mariners.

With the "official bank" moniker comes Key's renewed three-year Mariners sponsorship and an agreement to provide the team with commercial banking services.

"KeyBank has been an active sponsor of the Seattle Mariners since 2009," said Bob Aylward, Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President, Business Operations. "Their loyalty and creative problem-solving make them an ideal banking partner as we write a new chapter in Seattle Mariners history."

Key's marketing sponsorship will continue to provide the bank with high-profile branding and promotional exposure throughout Safeco Field and in the exclusive KeyBank Diamond Club.

"We are committed to actively supporting Seattle's arts, entertainment, cultural and community assets," said KeyBank Regional President Brian Rice. "We continue to regard our relationship with the Mariners as an outstanding partnership, both for building our brand and for acquiring new business."
