Larry Blocker receives 2014 InStadium Experience Innovation Award for game presentation

Announcement was made at SEAT 2014 Conference at Marlins Park on July 21

Marlins Senior Director of Game Presentation and Events Larry Blocker received the 2014 InStadium Experience Innovation Award for game presentation. Blocker received this award for demonstrating the best practices in using in-stadium media to improve the overall fan experience.

Blocker, who is in his seventh season with the Marlins in Game Presentation and Events, oversees all aspects of game presentation which includes: Marlins Vision, Energy Team, Video Production, ITPV Systems, Digital Graphics, LED Ribbons Boards, Digital Menu Boards, Music, PA, Billy The Marlin, Post Game Concert series, Fireworks, Ayudan Week and Winter Warm Up. Before joining the Marlins, he served as Director of Events for the Miami Heat for 12 seasons. Blocker received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and his Master of Sports Administration from St. Thomas University. 

The InStadium Experience Innovation Awards honor sports team executives who are finding ways to leverage technology, new media and data to drive long-term value for sports franchises by creating unique fan experiences on game days. Over 100 award nominations were submitted this year from sports teams across North America, and winners were selected by a distinguished panel of judges.
