Longoria seeking return trip to All-Star Game

NEW YORK -- Evan Longoria highlights the group of Rays players on the 2015 All-Star ballot.

Major League Baseball announced the players on the ballot on Wednesday morning.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- using the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, July 2, at 11:59 p.m. ET. For the first time, voting is exclusively online, where fans may submit up to 35 ballots.

Longoria is a three-time All-Star who made his first All-Star team as a rookie in 2008, but he has not made the team since '10.

Other Rays players on the ballot include: James Loney, first base; Logan Forsythe, second base; Asdrubal Cabrera, shortstop; Rene Rivera, catcher; John Jaso, designated hitter; and Desmond Jennings, Kevin Kiermaier and Steven Souza Jr., outfield.
