Mariners sign top Draft pick Neidert
High school right-hander has impressive fastball-changeup mix
The Mariners have signed their top Draft pick, second-rounder Nick Neidert, to a $1.2 million deal, MLB.com's Jim Callis reported Monday. The club has not confirmed.

The slot value for the pick -- 60th overall -- is $1,025,900. Neidert was Seattle's first selection in last week's Draft.
The right-hander out of Peachtree Ridge High School in Lawrenceville, Ga., is considered to have an advanced changeup to go along with a fastball that touches 96 mph.

Neidert was a Perfect Game First-Team All-America this season.
