Marlins Ayudan will host fifth annual Day of Service and Philanthropy on Thursday, November 20

The Miami Marlins front office will shut down on Thursday, November 20 to participate in the fifth annual Marlins Ayudan Day of Service and Philanthropy. Beginning at 9 a.m. on the West Plaza at Marlins Park, Marlins employees will be split into nine groups consisting of 18 employees. Each of the nine groups will represent one of Jackie Robinson's core values (citizenship, commitment, courage, determination, excellence, integrity, justice, persistence and teamwork). The teams will begin the day by participating in The Miami Foundation's Give Miami Day, which is a unique, online giving event that provides everyone in the community an opportunity to build a greater Miami through philanthropy.

"Philanthropy and Service are at the core of the Marlins' commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility," said Marlins President David Samson. "My front office colleagues and I will deploy on this day to serve several local charities in our Marlins Ayudan Blue Shirts, and be part of a great new tradition known as Give Miami Day."

From 1 to 4 p.m, with the help of HandsOn Miami, teams will begin their service projects with each of their corresponding partner organizations, including two current Miami Marlins Charity Partners (Young at Art Museum and Feeding South Florida), as well as two previous Miami Marlins Charity Partners (Boys & Girls Club and Shake-A-Leg Miami). The nine locations are:

- Young At Art Mural at Lenora B. Smith Elementary School (4700 NW 12th Ave., Miami, FL, 33127)

- Feeding South Florida at 93rd Street Missionary Baptist Church (2330 NW 93rd St., Miami, FL, 33147)

- Miami River Commission (555 NW South River Dr., Miami, FL, 33125)

- Camillus House (1603 NW 7th Ave., Miami, FL 33136)

- Boys and Girls Clubs - Hank Kline Unit (2805 SW 32 Ave., Miami, FL 33133)

- Kristi House (1265 NW 12th Ave., Miami, FL 33136)
