According to MLB.com's Jim Callis, Naylor's bonus will be $2.25 million. The club hasn't confirmed the bonus value. The recommended slot value of the No. 12 pick is $3,051,800.

Naylor, who had a college offer at Texas Tech, has been expected to sign with the Marlins from the moment he was drafted.

The Canada native, who grew up a Red Sox and David Ortiz fan, visited Marlins Park on June 13, the Saturday after he was picked. He took part in batting practice with the Marlins and impressed, belting a number of long drives into the second deck in right field. He even clobbered a ball past the 418 sign in center field.
